JEFFREY C. KALB is President and Chief Executive Officer of California
Micro Devices Corporation. He joined California Micro Devices in
December 1994 with over 30 years of experience in electronics, 25 of
those holding senior level positions managing emerging products and
technologies in complex semiconductor and system environments. He joined
California Micro Devices after being the Founder and CEO of MasPar
Computer Corporation, a privately held manufacturer of massively
parallel computers. Prior to MasPar, as Vice President of Digital
Equipment Corporation (DEC), Mr. Kalb was responsible for all small
systems as well as semiconductor technologies. Mr. Kalb became known as
the Father of the MicroVAX and was the most senior operating officer
responsible for design, development, business and strategic management
of this highly successful initiative. Mr. Kalb was also a Vice President
of Data General Corporation. He was responsible for semiconductor
operations and later for systems engineering . Earlier he spent 10 years
at National Semiconductor in senior operating roles and managed
manufacturing and engineering responsibilities in both bipolar and MOS
semiconductor technologies. Mr. Kalb started his career with Texas
