ROYCE HOLLAND is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Allegiance
Telecom, Inc., a competitive local exchange carrier (CLEC) headquartered
in Dallas, Texas. Prior to co-founding Allegiance, he was President and
one of several co-founders of MFS Communications Company, Inc. Mr.
Holland is Chairman Emeritus of the Association for Local
Telecommunications Services (ALTS), an organization dedicated to opening
telecom markets to competition. In January 1993, he was appointed by
President George Bush to the National Security Telecommunications
Advisory Committee. Mr. Holland earned a Bachelor of Science degree in
Engineering from the University of Texas and a Master of Science degree
in Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania. Profile
