MATTHEW BROSS is Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer for
Williams Communications Group, Inc. Mr. Bross began his career as a
Communications Specialist for General Electric. Over the course of the
next eight years, he held positions of increasing responsibility with
ITT, Contel, and Citicorp, developing advanced telecommunications
solutions to meet organizational needs. In 1986, Mr. Bross joined
MasterCard International, where he led global network engineering for
the next five years. Following his tenure at MasterCard, he established
a successful start-up, Critical Technologies, Inc., based in St. Louis,
MO. Mr. Bross joined Williams in March 1997 through Williams'
acquisition of Critical Technologies. Initially, he was responsible for
the design and implementation of a wide range of professional services
for large, sophisticated customers. In 1998 he became Vice President and
Chief Technology Officer of Williams Network in conjunction with the
