WENDELL LILJEDAHL is a Portfolio Manager/Research Analyst at Wilson
Foster & Company. PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT: He manages a high relative
yield equity portfolio for the company. In 1993, he and Harvey Wilson
designed, developed and back-tested an extensive Income & Growth
portfolio database analyzing over 30 years of data on more that 250
companies. In 1994, they launched this new product as a low risk equity
investment vehicle (Portfolio Beta of .72) and in 1997 achieved a return
in excess of 32%, in 1996 in excess of 12%. Using detailed fundamental
and statistical analysis of high relative yield equities, their Income &
Growth Portfolio has provided investors with solid returns using a very
low risk strategy. RESEARCH ANALYSIS: Since 1991, research has been Mr.
Liljedahl’s primary responsibility at Wilson Foster & Co. With the other
portfolio managers, he assist with top-down industry strength assessment
and economic trend analysis to develop areas of interest for the
company’s growth portfolio. He then screens companies on a myriad of
criteria. Revenue generation and return on equity trends are analyzed
for mid to long term projections, while standard deviation of price
variations and money flow analysis are used for trading opportunities.
EDUCATION: Mr. Liljedahl is currently a Level II CFA Candidate, having
passed the Level I CFA exam in June of ’96. His basic education was in
Engineering, but has focused his efforts toward Economics and Finance
since the mid-eighties. PERSONAL: Mr. Liljedahl is married with a 15-
year-old daughter. He is involved with various community and church
organizations including the Ventura Midtown Community Council and the
Ojai Valley Homeless Shelter. He is formerly a serious yacht racer,
competing in several national and world championships, America’s Cup and
international offshore events. He also enjoys playing tennis.
