Thomas A. Gunderson is an investment principal at Lowry Hill. In addition to managing his client relationships, Tom is co-lead of the firm’s large cap growth equity strategy. Prior to joining Lowry Hill, Tom was the leadportfolio manager of the $1.5 billion large-cap growth portfolio at FAF Advisors, Inc., a division of U.S. Bancorp in Minneapolis. During his five years with the company, he was also team leader of its large and mid-cap growth portfolio management team and co-manager of its $1.8 billion mid-cap growth portfolio. Prior to that, Tom spent 19 years at Advantus Capital Management in St. Paul, where he began as a stock analyst/portfolio manager and ultimately served as lead portfolio manager of the firm’s large-cap growth stock portfolio. Tom received a master’s degree in business administration from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan. He received a bachelor’s degree (with honors) in economics from St. Olaf College. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). Tom is a member of the CFA Institute and the Twin Cities Society of Securities Analysts. He is on the board of the Children’s Cancer Research Fund and the Downtown YMCA.
