SURAJ KALIA joined Northland Securities, Inc., in March 2003 and follows
life sciences and technology companies. Prior to Northland, Mr. Kalia
worked in the Business Development Group at Entegris, Inc., where he was
responsible for analyzing potential acquisition targets, strategic and
financial valuation, due diligence, deal structuring and management
interviews. Prior to moving to Minneapolis to join Entegris, he worked
as an analyst at a boutique broker-dealer in New Jersey, where he wrote
and modeled numerous companies in the healthcare sector. Prior to moving
to the US, he worked for 4 years in India at Tata Capital as an
Investment Banking Analyst. Mr. Kalia has over 10 years of work
experience in equity research, M&A and engineering. He holds a
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the prestigious Indian
Institute of Technology in Bombay, India. He received his Master’s
degree in Chemical Engineering at Stevens Institute of Technology, New
Jersey and his MBA from the University of St. Thomas, Minneapolis, where
he currently serves an Adjunct Professor of Finance for the MBA
curriculum. He is a member of the Twin Cities Society of Security
Analysts and the Association for Investment Management and Research
(AIMR) and adheres to AIMR’s Code of Ethics and Standards of
Professional Conduct as a charterholder of the Chartered Financial
Analyst designation.
