Robert A. Quartermain

ROBERT A. QUARTERMAIN has been President and Director of Silver Standard
Resources Inc. since 1985 and has focused the company’s activities on
silver projects around the world. He is a professional geologist who has
been involved in the resource industry for over 20 years. Mr.
Quartermain is former President and Director of Golden Knight Resources
Inc., then owner of an interest in Gold Fields Ghana Limited, operator
of the Tarkwa gold mine. Mr. Quartermain now serves as a Director of
IAMGold Corporation, Vista Gold Corporation, Western Silver Corporation
and Esperanza Silver Corporation.
