Richard C. Birkmeyer

RICHARD C. BIRKMEYER co-founded Strategic Diagnostics Inc. in 1990 and
has served as its President and Chief Executive Officer and a Director
since its inception. Prior to founding SDI, Mr. Birkmeyer was employed
by E. I. duPont de Nemours from 1983-1990, where he most recently served
as Product Manager. Mr. Birkmeyer received a PhD in
Biochemistry/Immunology from the State University of New York at
Binghamton. He currently serves as an active Board member on the
Delaware Innovation Fund, the Tech Corp. of Delaware and the State
University of New York Advisory Board.
