Patrick M. Fahey

PATRICK M. FAHEY is President and Chief Executive Officer of
Pacific Northwest Bancorp. Following service in the U.S. Army as
an Infantry Officer, Mr. Fahey joined Seattle-First National Bank
in 1967 as a Management Trainee. He moved within the corporation
to the position of the Vice President -Southwest Region
Administration, and in 1976 he was elected to the position of
Vice President and Manager – Branch Banking Administration,
Washington Banking Group. In November 1978 he was named Manager
of the Public Responsibilities Division where he oversaw the
activities of the Corporate Communications, Community Affairs,
and Government Relations Departments. He was elected Senior Vice
President in 1980. In November 1981 he joined Old National Bank
of Washington as Regional Vice President for Western Washington.
He was elected Senior Vice President of ONB in July 1982 and
Executive Vice President and Manager – Branch Banking Group in
June 1983. He was elected President and Chief Operating Officer
in September 1983. Mr. Fahey joined the Board of Directors of
InterWest Bancorp and became Vice Chairman of Commercial Banking
in June 1998, following the merger of Pacific Northwest Bank, a
bank he founded in 1988, and InterWest Bank. On April 17, 2000,
Mr. Fahey was appointed President and CEO of InterWest Bank, in
addition to his duties as Chairman, President, and CEO of Pacific
Northwest Bank. On August 21, 2000, InterWest Bancorp, Inc.,
changed its name to Pacific Northwest Bancorp where Mr. Fahey
serves as President and CEO. In addition, he serves as Chairman
and CEO of the Bancorp’s banking subsidiary, Pacific Northwest
Bank. He is a graduate of Seattle University, Pacific Coast
Banking School, and the Management Program of the University of
Washington Graduate School of Business.
