Owen B. Burman

OWEN B. BURMAN is a Managing Director of Riggs Investment
Advisors with responsibility for equity research and portfolio
management. He has been managing the Riggs Small Company Stock
Fund from the end of 2000 to the present. Prior to joining Riggs
Investment Advisors in 1996, Mr. Burman was an Assistant Vice
President with the Corporate Banking Group of Riggs Bank NA. He
came to Riggs from GEICO Corporation where he was an investment
accountant with responsibility for several fixed income
portfolios. Mr. Burman earned a BBA in Finance and graduated with
highest distinction from Emory University’s Goizueta Business
School in Atlanta, Georgia. He also has earned the Chartered
Financial Analyst designation from the Association for Investment
Management and Research.
