Mark E. Monroe

MARK E. MONROE is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Louis
Dreyfus Natural Gas Corp. He joined its predecessor company in 1980 and
served as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer prior to
assuming his current position in 1996. He received his BBA degree from
the University of Texas in 1975 and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Mr. Monroe is President of the Oklahoma Independent Petroleum
Association and serves on its Board of Directors. He also serves as a
Director for the Domestic Petroleum Council and for the Petroleum Club
of Oklahoma City.
