Lawrence B. Evans

LAWRENCE B. EVANS, principal Founder of Aspen Technology, Inc. has
served as Chairman of the Board and CEO since 1984. Prior to founding
the company, Mr. Evans was a Professor of Chemical Engineering at the
Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Mr. Evans holds a BS in
Chemical Engineering from the University of Oklahoma and an MSE and PhD
in Chemical Engineering from the University of Michigan. Mr. Evans was
named one of seven heroes of US manufacturing by FORTUNE magazine in the
May 24, 1999 issue of its industrial management and technology version.
