Larry A. Mizel

LARRY A. MIZEL has served as Chairman of the Board of Directors and
Chief Executive Officer of M.D.C. Holdings, Inc., for more than five
years and was elected President of the company in March 1996. Mr. Mizel
resigned as President of the company in July 1999. He has been a
Director of the company since founding the company in January 1972. Mr.
Mizel also serves as a Director of Richmond American Homes. He also is a
Trustee of Marsico Investment Fund, an open-end investment company that
currently offers three investment portfolios, the Marsico Focus Fund,
the Marsico Growth and Income Fund and the Marsico 21st Century Fund.
Mr. Mizel is a member of the Legal Committee.
