JOSEPH M. CUMMINS has been Chairman, President and Chief Executive
Officer of Amarillo Biosciences, Inc., since August 1996. Dr. Cummins
was Chairman of the Board, Amarillo Cell Culture Co., Inc., from June
1984 to August 1996; President of Amarillo Cell Culture from June 1984
to September 1992; November 1994 to August 1996. Dr. Cummins started
Amarillo Cell Culture Co. Inc. in March 1984. He was Associate
Professor, Department of Veterinary Microbiology, College of Veterinary
Medicine, Texas A&M University Research Center, from August 1980 to
December 1986; Assistant Professor, Department of Veterinary
Pathobiology, College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Illinois,
September 1978 to August 1980; Research Associate, Department of
Veterinary Microbiology, College of Veterinary Medicine, University of
Missouri, August 1976 to August 1978; companion animal practice-self
employed, from 1972 to 1976, during which he owned and operated three
veterinary hospitals; Research Associate, Department of Veterinary
Microbiology, College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Missouri,
1970 to 1972; companion animal practice, Cincinnati, Ohio, from 1969 to
1970. Dr. Cummins was a Captain, U.S. Army, Veterinary Corps; post
veterinarian, Ft. Wadsworth-Ft. Hamilton, New York, 1966 to 1969.
Supervised five to 18 men in food inspection and procurement, sentry dog
care, dependent animal care, and preventive medicine. Dr. Cummins has a
DVM from Ohio State University, 1966; MS from the University of
Missouri, 1977 (Microbiology); PhD from the University of Missouri, 1978
(Microbiology).
