James J. Kumpel

JAMES J. KUMPEL is a Health Care Services Analyst focusing on growth
companies in the e-health/healthcare information technology industry, as
well as assisted living and long-term care. He has been with Raymond
James & Associates, Inc. since 1997 and his work on dynamics of the e-
health industry, quality of earnings and valuation issues has been
widely recognized. In addition, Mr. Kumpel is the author of a landmark
healthcare Internet white paper that outlines the opportunities and
pitfalls in the industry. Previously, he was associated with Morgan
Stanley in Japan and IBM Asia Pacific. Mr. Kumpel graduated with an MBA
from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business and holds a Bachelor’s
degree from Cornell University.
