Ian Mausner is a Co-Founder, Chief Executive Officer and Senior Portfolio Manager for J.S. Oliver Capital Management, L.P. He oversees the firm’s investment strategy, allocations and methodology and directs its in-depth research strategies. Mr. Mausner has been a Money Manager and Financial Adviser for more than 25 years. He has provided comprehensive investment advice and managed investment portfolios since he started in the business in 1985. Prior to founding J.S. Oliver Capital Management, L.P., Mr. Mausner was with Montgomery Securities, now Banc of America Securities, for 10 years, where he was a Managing Director and one of the original Members of the private client services department. During his tenure at Montgomery Securities and Banc of America Securities, he launched and continued to manage the number one team of the private client department measured by revenues and assets. Mr. Mausner also helped train and mentor numerous new Money Managers in the firm’s training programs and continued to provide these other Money Managers with guidance and support for their businesses. From 1989 until 1993, prior to joining Montgomery Securities, Mr. Mausner was with Kidder, Peabody & Co. as a Senior Vice President, and was at Morgan Stanley from 1985 to 1989 in similar capacities. Mr. Mausner has participated in numerous industry conferences and has made extensive presentations on money management and analyses of the financial markets. He received his M.B.A. in 1985 from Stanford Business School with an emphasis in investment management and finance and received his B.A. in economics from Amherst College in 1982.
