Gary R. Hedrick

GARY R. HEDRICK joined El Paso Electric Company in 1977 as a Financial
Accountant. After serving in a variety of progressively more responsible
positions, Mr. Hedrick was promoted to Treasurer in 1988. In 1990, he
was named Vice President, Financial Planning and Rate Administration. He
became Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer in 1996. In
August 2000, Mr. Hedrick was named Executive Vice President, Chief
Financial and Administrative Officer. In November 2001, Mr. Hedrick was
named President and Chief Executive Officer for El Paso Electric Company
and elected to the company’s Board of Directors. He received a BBA
degree in Finance from the University of Texas at El Paso in 1977 and
went on to receive his MBA also from the University of Texas at El Paso
in 1982. Mr. Hedrick serves on several Boards within the community
including the Children’s Miracle Network of El Paso and the El Paso
Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.
