Jan Kantowsky

DR JAN KANTOWSKY is Member of the Executive Board of Pixelpark AG.
After receiving a degree in business administration in 1993, Jan
Kantowsky got his doctorate at the Hochschule St. Gallen. His
dissertation there, “Technology Potential – Impact on Organisation and
Strategy”, led Kantowsky to join Bertelsmann AG in 1996 as Vice
President Corporate Development New Media. There he was a key
participant in projects such as the acquisition of CompuServe. In the
fall of 1997, the then 29 year old joined Pixelpark. As a member of the
board, he oversaw the development of Pixelpark’s E-Commerce unit. Since
becoming Chief Operating Officer in April 1998, Dr Jan Kantowsky has
headed Pixelpark together with Paulus Neef. He has played a key role in
Pixelpark’s internationalisation and the company’s IPO in October 1999.
