MARK R. HOLLINGER is Chairman of the Board, President and Chief
Executive Officer of Merix Corporation. Mr. Hollinger oversees
the corporate, strategic and emerging business of Merix
Corporation and is committed to improving shareholder value and
to enhancing the company's competitive position. Under his
leadership, Merix has become a leading provider of interconnect
solutions. Mr. Hollinger has worked with the management team
throughout this dramatic industry downturn to balance the
development and implementation of strategies that support the
company's growth plans, while continually improving operations to
benefit customers, shareholders and employees. Merix has garnered
many distinguished awards over the years, including the Electro
Mechanical Supplier of the Year by Cisco Systems in 2001, and
more recently key supplier awards from Powerwave Technologies and
CIENA Corporation. Mr. Hollinger joined Merix Corporation as
Chief Operating Officer in 1997 and in May 1999 he became
President. In September of 1999 he assumed the responsibilities
of Chief Executive Officer and was elected Chairman of the Board
in September 2001. Before coming to Merix, Mr. Hollinger worked
for more than a decade at IBM, followed by three years as Vice
President of Operations at Continental Circuits Corporation of
Phoenix. Mr. Hollinger holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in
Marketing from Capital University and an MBA from Ohio State
University. He is a member of the President's Council of the IPC,
the Board of Directors for Simple Technology, the Board of
Trustees for Pacific University and serves on the Oregon Chapter
of the Board of Directors for the Juvenile Diabetes Research
Foundation. He resides with his family in Portland. Profile
