Ruediger Adolf – American Express Company (axp)

RUEDIGER ADOLF is Senior Vice President of Strategic Planning and Development at American Express Company, a position he assumed in January 1998. In this role, he is responsible for leading company-wide efforts on business strategy and development, including joint ventures and acquisitions. Prior to joining America Express, Mr. Adolf was a partner at McKinsey & Company (New York), where he led the Personal Finance and Information Technology practice. In this role, he worked with a number of leading financial institutions in the United States and Europe. Mr. Adolf began his career at McKinsey & Company (Munich) in 1987 and was appointed partner in 1993. Mr. Adolf has been a frequent speaker on financial service issues in forums, including the Bank Administration Institute, Bankers Round Table, the Bank for International Settlements and Jupiter Communications.
