RICHARD L. WAMBOLD is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Pactiv
Corporation, a leading provider of advanced packaging solutions to
customers around the world. Mr. Wambold was appointed CEO in November
1999, when Pactiv became an independent company following its spin-off
from Tenneco Inc. In March 2000, Mr. Wambold was elected to the
additional post of Chairman of the Board. Mr. Wambold brings a solid
record of success to his position, including the acquisition and
integration of new businesses, product innovation and earnings growth.
Prior to becoming CEO, Mr. Wambold served as President of Tenneco
Packaging since June 1999, was responsible for the company's $3 billion
in revenues and managed the company's spin-off from Tenneco Inc. Before
being named President, he was Executive Vice President and General
Manager of the Specialty Packaging and Consumer Products business
groups. Under his direction, this business grew from $550 million in
sales in 1994 to $2 billion in 1998. Before joining Tenneco Packaging in
1994, Mr. Wambold was Executive Vice President of Case Corporation's
construction equipment and worldwide parts business, which was
previously part of Tenneco. Mr. Wambold joined Tenneco in 1977 and held
numerous positions within the organization, including Vice President of
Corporate Planning and Development. Mr. Wambold earned a Bachelor's
degree in Government and a Master's degree in Business Administration
