John B. Richards has served as a director of The Joint Corp. since January 2014 and was named Chief Executive Officer in July 2014. From May 2012 to January 2014, Mr. Richards was a consultant to The Joint. Mr. Richards has held a variety of leadership positions in the multiunit retail industry. From 1987 to 1997, Mr. Richards served in a variety of capacities at Four Seasons Hotels, including Executive Vice President responsible for North American and European operations. From 1997 to 2001, he served as President of North American Operations for Starbucks Coffee Company, during which time it expanded from 500 to 3,000 units. Mr. Richards was also Chief Executive Officer of Elizabeth Arden Red Door Salons from 2001 to 2006, and served as Principal and Managing Director affiliated with the New England Consulting Group from 2007 to 2014. In addition, he is a former McKinsey & Company consultant. Mr. Richards currently serves as a member of the board of directors for Lifetime Fitness, Inc. (NYSE:LTM).
