Holger Boerner is the Global Real Estate Sector Leader, Research Analyst and Select Portfolio Manager at Fidelity Management & Research Company — FMRCo — the investment adviser for Fidelity’s family of mutual funds. In his role, Mr. Boerner provides financial analysis and buy/sell recommendations for over 25 stocks focused on real estate — commercial and residential — manages the Select Construction and Housing Fund, and conducts thought leadership in the commercial and residential real estate sector. Prior to assuming his current position in January 2012, Mr. Boerner worked as a REIT Research Analyst from 2006 to 2011. Before joining Fidelity in 2006, Mr. Boerner was an intern at Janus Capital in 2005, and an Analyst for L.E.K. Consulting from 1999 to 2004. Previously, Mr. Boerner held various other internships with Merrill Lynch, Roland Berger and Partner GmbH, Lucent Technologies and Reebok. He has been in the investments industry since 2004. Mr. Boerner earned his Bachelor of Arts in economics from ESB Reutlingen in Germany and his Bachelor of Science in international business studies from Northeastern University. Mr. Boerner also earned his Master of Business Administration in finance from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and his Master of Arts in international studies from the Lauder Institute at the University of Pennsylvania.
