Steve Hammers is Chief Investment Officer at Compass EMP Funds. Mr. Hammers directs all of the companyís investment activities, asset allocation and portfolio management. In addition, he oversees all internal strategies and research. Prior to the merger of Compass EMP, Mr. Hammers began his career with Merrill Lynch & Co., and was the Founder and Chief Investment Officer of Trinity Planning and Consulting. Mr. Hammers has more than 17 years of experience in the asset management industry. He is an active speaker on efficient investing, alternative investing and asset allocation. Mr. Hammers has been quoted in numerous publications, including The Wall Street Journal, Smart Money, Barronís, Investment News and Bloomberg. Mr. Hammers is also a frequent guest contributor on CNBC, Fox Business and Bloomberg TV. He earned a B.S. degree from Middle Tennessee State University, and he is a Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA).
