Mike Stathis assists hedge funds, endowments, financial advisers and retail investors as the Chief Investment Strategist of AVA Investment Analytics. He provides the firm's clients with proprietary investment and trading strategies, valuation analysis, market forecasting, risk management, and distressed securities analysis. Mike is also the Managing Principal of Apex Venture Advisors, a business and investment intelligence firm serving venture firms and private equity funds. Mike's work in the private markets includes valuation analysis, deal structuring, and business strategy, with a technology focus in biopharmaceuticals and telemedicine. Prior to Apex Advisors, Mike worked at UBS and Bear Stearns, focusing on asset management and merchant banking. He holds a Masters of Science in biological chemistry and biophysics from the University of Pennsylvania and was formerly a National Science Foundation research fellow. Profile
