Ashok Kumar is a senior analyst with a focus on Technology at Collins Stewart
LLC. He was the head of technology research at CRT Capital Group before joining
Collins Stewart. He has held senior analyst positions with Raymond James, Piper
Jaffray and Southcoast Capital, and was also an analyst at Prudential
Securities. Prior to his career as a research analyst, he held engineering and
marketing positions at Intel. He is frequently quoted in publications such as
The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, USA TODAY, BusinessWeek, and
Fortune, and is regularly featured on CNBC and Bloomberg. He was named to Smart
Money magazine's 30 Most Influential People in Investing in December, 2000. He
received a bachelor's degree in engineering from the Indian Institute of
Technology, a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University
and a Master's degree in Business Administration from the Wharton School of the
