DAVID J. GURY, CEO of Nabi, completed his undergraduate work in
economics at Kenyon College, Gambier, Ohio, in 1960. He received his
M.B.A. degree at the University of Chicago in 1962, specializing in
accounting and finance. His undergraduate Junior year was spent at the
University of Madrid, Spain. He was a Research Fellow at the University
of Chicago and an intern with Arthur Anderson & Co. Mr. Gury began his
career as a financial accountant with Abbott Laboratories in North
Chicago, Illinois, rising to Director of Marketing Development with
Abbott's Scientific Products Division in Pasadena, California. From 1977
to 1984, Mr. Gury served with Alpha Therapeutic Corporation, holding
various positions including Vice-President, Plasma Supply, responsible
for operation of all company-owned and affiliated plasmapheresis
centers; General Manager, Plasma Operation, responsible for operation of
all company-owned plasmapheresis centers in the United States; and
Director of Plasma Procurement, responsible for all outside plasma
procurement activities, including analysis of worldwide plasma
activities. In May 1984, David J. Gury joined Nabi as President and
Chief Operating Officer. He was elected Chairman of the Board, Chief
Executive Officer and President in April 1992. Mr. Gury is a Director of
BIO+Florida, a Director of the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, Greater
Palm Beach County Chapter, a Director of the Florida Venture Forum, and
a member of the Citizens Board of the University of Miami. Profile
