THOMAS B. NEWMAN JR., Vice President, Corporate Communications at
Teradyne, Inc., joined the company in 1973 and in his current role is
responsible for investor relations, corporate marketing and
communications. Previously, he held a variety of sales, marketing,
product and division management roles, including marketing manager for
System-On-A-Chip test and General Manager of the Customer Support
Division. He was elected a Vice President of Teradyne in 1984. He has a
BSEE from WPI, an MSEE from Northeastern University and an MBA from
Babson College. He is a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of

TWST: What is Teradyne?Mr. Newman: Teradyne started in 1960 in the business of testing
semiconductors. In the intervening 40 plus years, it has expanded its
businesses into other test
