LAURENCE E. ACH is Chief Investment Officer for equity investments and
Senior Portfolio Manager at Trainer Wortham & Company, where he has
worked since 1999. He was previously with Lynch & Mayer Inc. from 1994
to 1999, where he headed the firm's Private Asset Management division.
From 1986 to 1994, Mr. Ach was a Senior Vice President/Portfolio Manager
at Lazard Freres Asset Management. Prior to that, he had portfolio
management and analytical responsibilities at NSR Asset Management,
General Reinsurance and Bankers Trust. Mr. Ach earned his BA degree from
Trinity College in 1969 and an MBA in Finance from the Wharton School in
1972. He was awarded the Chartered Financial Analyst designation in
1979. Mr. Ach is the third generation of his family to work in the
investment field. His grandfather was a stockbroker and his father,
Ernest Ach, was Director of Southern California Research at Sutro & Co.
and was in the first class of recipients of the CFA. Profile
