FERENC B. SZONY was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer and
a Director of The Sands Regent in December 1997. From 1981 to 1997, Mr.
Szony was an Executive with the Hilton Hotel Corporation, serving in
several key management and marketing positions with the Flamingo Las
