GARY M. GOLDSTEIN is the Market Strategist at Dahlman Rose Weiss, LLC,
and co-publishes with his wife and long-time business partner, Laurie D.
Goldstein, CFA. Along with their associate Jin Chun, the team covers the
marine transport industry in addition to their traditional generalist
universe, where they specialize in event-driven special situations. The
Goldsteins have been a publishing team since 1994 when they hit the
road, literally, as Road Research, traveling the country to visit
companies and their facilities in a state-of-the-art, technology-laden
40-foot Holiday Rambler bus. Their unique style of conducting business
has been featured in all of the traditional press and highlighted by the
Association for Investment Management and Research. Their stock-picking
performance has surpassed market performance in each of their 10 years
as a team. They continued to conduct their unusual style of business
from Capital Investments International, The Seidler Companies, Gruntal
and Gilford Securities prior to joining Dahlman Rose Weiss. Before
joining forces as a sellside team, Mr. Goldstein worked in industry; his
last post was as a regional manager for a Fortune 50 company. Mrs.
Goldstein spent eight years on the buy side and has worked with renowned
industry veterans. In 1990 she co-founded a hedge fund, Arbor Partners,
which was later sold to a large international bank. Profile
