THOMAS O. STAGGS is Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Financial
Officer of The Walt Disney Company and is a member of the company's
executive management committee. He oversees the company's worldwide
finance organization, controller functions, acquisitions, investor
relations, treasury and risk management activities, information systems,
real estate and taxes. He also represents Disney on the Supervisory
Board of Euro Disney S.C.A., which owns and operates Disneyland Resort
Paris, and serves as chairman of Fox Kids Europe N.V. Mr. Staggs joined
Disney in 1990 as a Manager of Strategic Planning and soon advanced
through a series of positions of increased responsibility, becoming
Senior Vice President of Strategic Planning and Development in 1995. He
was appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in
1998, and assumed his current title in January 2000. He played an
important role in a wide variety of Disney's strategic and operating
initiatives and various Disney strategic joint ventures and corporate
transactions, including the acquisition of Capital Cities/ABC. More
recently, Mr. Staggs has spearheaded the company's efforts to drive
greater cost and capital efficiency throughout the organization. He
received a BS degree in Business from the University of Minnesota and an
MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He worked in
investment banking with Morgan Stanley & Co. before joining Disney. Profile
