Lawrence J. Haverty Jr., CFA, of GAMCO Investors, Inc., is Associate Portfolio Manager of the Gabelli Multimedia Trust (NYSE: GGT), a closed-end, nondiversified investment company specializing in the media, publishing and entertainment industries on a global basis. Mr. Haverty was most recently a managing director for consumer discretionary research at State Street Research, the Boston-based subsidiary of Metropolitan Life Insurance Company. Prior to that, he held similar positions at Putnam Management and Fred Alger Management. Mr. Haverty has a B.S. from the Wharton School and an M.A. from the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences at the University of Pennsylvania.
