John Bond Jr. – Columbia Bancorp Inc

JOHN M. BOND JR. has been a Director, President and Chief Executive Officer of Columbia Bancorp since inception. He was one of two individuals who started Columbia Bancorp in 1987. He previously held Senior Vice President positions with Chase Bank of Maryland, a regional affiliate of Chase Manhattan Bank, NA, and The First National Bank of Maryland (Allfirst). Prior to returning to Maryland in 1978, Mr. Bond was a Vice President with Citibank, NA, in New York and a Consultant with McKinsey & Company. He is a magna cum laude graduate of Harvard College and earned MBA and JD degrees from Columbia University. Mr. Bond currently serves as a Trustee of Goucher College and is the immediate past Chairman of the Maryland Bankers' Association.
