Robert MacKenzie joined FBR Capital Markets in September 2002 as a Senior Analyst in the Energy Equity Research group, where he followed oilfield service, equipment and drilling companies. Prior to joining FBR, Mr. MacKenzie spent two and a half years as an Associate Analyst with Citigroup covering oilfield equipment and services companies, as well as land drilling contractors. Prior to that, he spent one year as an Associate Analyst with (Capital One) Southcoast Capital, covering oilfield service companies and offshore drilling contractors. Before entering the field of equity research, Mr. MacKenzie spent six years at Schlumberger in field operations and management. In the 2008 Bloomberg and Forbes.com Blue Chip Analyst Awards, he ranked number five in the oilfield machinery and services sector. In 2009 Mr. MacKenzie received a Blue Chip Analyst Award from Forbes.com, ranking number two in the oilfield machinery and services sector. He also ranked among the top three earning estimators in the energy equipment and services sector by Financial Times/StarMine in 2009. Mr. MacKenzie received his B.S. in mechanical engineering from Queen's University in Canada and received his MBA in finance from the A.B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University. Profile
