ERNIE NUTTER is Director of the Global Mining Research Team at
RBC Capital Markets, Canada. He brings a strong record of both
experience and performance to its clients. He has been ranked as
a top mining analyst by Institutional Investor in each of the
last seven years, and has been instrumental in expanding the
mining research team beyond Canada. Mr. Nutter graduated from
Dalhousie University in 1976 with a BSc in geology. He went on to
work as an exploration and project geologist with Brascan
Resources for 12 years through its evolution into Westmin
Resources. Subsequently, he assumed the position of metals and
mining analyst for another investment dealer. He also spent two
years as Vice President and senior metals and mining analyst with
a US-based investment bank before joining RBC Capital Markets in
