PETER L. MARTIN, a Managing Director in the Equity Research
department of Jefferies & Company, Inc., provides in-depth
coverage of the knowledge services industry. He has authored
several well-regarded industry white papers and releases a weekly
valuation report that is widely recognized within the industry.
He also authors a monthly article for TD magazine, a publication
of the American Society for Training and Development. Prior to
joining Jefferies & Company, Inc., in February 1997, Mr. Martin
was associated with Montgomery Securities and the
Franklin/Templeton Group of Funds. He received an MBA from the

joined the firm via Hambrecht & Quist in 1999 to manage the
education industry research effort. Prior to H&Q, he managed the
education service industry research effort for Salomon Smith
Barney from 1994 to 1999, and has spent over 20 years in the
securities industry. He was ranked number two in the education
services category on the 1998 Institutional Investor All-America
Research Team. He received a BA from Occidental College. His
