CHARLES MORET is Managing Director of Investments for the Clean Energy
Fund at Connecticut Innovations, Inc. He is responsible for originating
and managing investments in companies and projects that produce
renewable energy, build consumer demand for green power and market
clean-energy products and services. The emphasis of most of these
activities on wind, wave and solar technologies. He has over 25 years of
financing experience with all types of companies and entrepreneurs.
Prior to joining Connecticut Innovations, Mr. Moret was Director of
Special Finance at New England Bank and Executive Vice President at
Business Lenders, a leader in US Small Business Administration lending.
He was a Senior Vice President for Fleet Financial Group holding various
management positions ranging from asset-based finance for Connecticut,
national account management in commercial finance, an International
Representative in Mexico City and Manager of Credit Administration.
Prior to Fleet, he was an Export Finance Manager for Central National
Corporation and a Credit Manager for Foreign Credit at Irving Trust
Company. Mr. Moret serves on the board of directors of Solar Dynamics
and Energetech, companies specializing in portable photovoltaic
applications and wave energy respectfully, and also serves on the on the
board of the Connecticut Energy and Power Society. He earned a Bachelors
Degree in Marketing from Pace University, New York and a Masters of
Business Administration in Finance from Fairleigh Dickinson University,
New Jersey. His community activities include being a member of the
Simsbury Board of Education, and past President of the St. Catherine of
Siena parish council, board member of Chi Rho Catholic Service Corps and
a coach for Little League and soccer. Profile
