BRIAN J. KEARNS has served as Senior Vice President, Treasurer and Chief
Financial Officer since joining MedQuist Inc. in October 2000. Mr.
Kearns is responsible for managing all accounting, treasury and investor
relations functions as well as assisting in new business development and
M&A activities for MedQuist. Prior to his current role, Mr. Kearns spent
six years as an equity research analyst following the healthcare IT and
business services sectors at Banc of America Securities and Salomon
Smith Barney. Prior to that, Mr. Kearns held several financial
