Douglas T. Dietrich serves as the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Minerals Technologies Inc. (MTI). He was named CEO in December 2016 and elected Chairman in March 2021. Mr. Dietrich has over 30 years of experience in the industrial goods, mining and metals manufacturing industry with significant expertise in engineering, management and operations. Since joining MTI in 2007, Mr. Dietrich has held various senior management positions, including Chief Financial Officer where he had oversight of the entire Corporate Finance organization including Investor Relations, IT and Global Business Services functions and Vice President, Corporate Development and Treasury where he led Corporate Strategy and M&A initiatives. Prior to joining MTI, Mr. Dietrich held positions of increasing responsibility and leadership at Alcoa Inc. These roles include Vice President, Alcoa Wheel Products – Automotive Wheels; President, Alcoa Latin America Extrusions; General Manager, Global Rod and Bar Products; and Manager, Business Development and Strategic Global Sourcing – Asia and Latin America. Earlier in his career, Mr. Dietrich worked for Eaton Corporation and Westinghouse Electric Corporation where he held various positions in Engineering and Operations Management. He holds a bachelor of science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan and an MBA in Finance from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Dietrich is also the Chairman of the Penn Cultural Heritage Center of the University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archeology and Anthropology. He is also a member of the Director’s Council of the Penn Museum, University of Pennsylvania.
