Roy Levitt – Genaera Corporation (genr)

DR. ROY C. LEVITT was appointed President and CEO in November 2000. He served as Executive Vice President of the company and led the Magainin Institute of Molecular Medicine, an internal division of the company, since joining the company in January 1996. Dr. Levitt also leads the Research and Development group of the company and was elected director of the company in August 1997. He was appointed Chief Operating Officer of the company in August 1998. Prior to joining Genaera, Dr. Levitt was a faculty member at Johns Hopkins University in the Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine from 1986 to 1995, in Neurological Surgery from 1995 to 1996 and in Environmental Health Sciences from 1988 to 1996. He earned his MD at the University of Maryland School of Medicine in 1979, and he is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Anesthesia and Critical Care Medicine. He joined the Johns Hopkins Department of Internal Medicine in 1980 and eventually becoming the Chief Resident of the Anesthesiology Department in 1985. Profile
