TWST: John, now back to you. What are the characteristics of the companies that you would highlight? What are some of the strategies that you think will enable companies to be successful, despite the difficulties that they face?

Mr. Parry: Of course, one of the things we talked about earlier was that the consolidation approach gives you the opportunity to cost-cut, or facilitate spreading overhead across a larger asset base. You asked how the mergers were doing. I think for the most part the advertised cost efficiencies appear achievable. In the case of Exxon Mobil (NYSE:XOM) and BP Amoco (NYSE:BPA), they've been achieved ahead of schedule and have been larger than advertised. But importantly, that leads to a much larger portfolio of assets to select for growth capital opportunities. So I think that one of the strategies, going forward, is to cherry-pick the opportunities that are there in the expanded portfolios of the merged companies.
