Randy Churchey took the helm of Education Realty Trust, Inc., as President and Chief Executive Officer in January 2010, and advanced to Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the board in January 2015. He is the Founder and Co-Chairman of the board of MCR Development, LLC, a private hotel construction, ownership and management company, and is a member of the board of trustees of MedEquities Realty Trust, a public health care real estate company. In 2008, Mr. Churchey was Interim Chief Executive Officer of Great Wolf Resorts, Inc., and was a member of its board from 2005 until its sale in 2012. He was President and Chief Executive Officer and a member of the board of directors of Golden Horizons from 2006 to 2007. From 2005 to 2007, Mr. Churchey was a member of EdR’s board of directors. Previously, from 2004 until its sale in 2008, he served on the board of trustees of Innkeepers USA Trust. He also served as President, Chief Operating Officer and Director of RFS Hotel Investors, Inc., from 1999 until its sale in 2003. From 1997 to 1999, he was Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of FelCor Lodging Trust, Inc.
