Gary L. Martin is Chairman of the board, President and CEO of Capital Southwest Corporation, a venture capital company headquartered in Dallas, Texas. Mr. Martin joined Capital Southwest Corporation in 1972 and served as Chief Financial Officer and Secretary-Treasurer until he was elected Vice President in 1978. From 1979 to 2007, he served as President and Chief Executive Officer of The Whitmore Manufacturing Company, a Capital Southwest portfolio company. In 2007, he was named President and CEO of Capital Southwest and elected Chairman of the board in 2008. He has served as a Director of Capital Southwest since 1988. Mr. Martin also serves as Chairman of the board of Heelys, Inc., and is a Member of the board of Alamo Group, Inc. He is a Director of The RectorSeal Corporation, Houston; Cinatra Clean Technologies Inc., Houston; Media Recovery, Inc., Dallas; The Whitmore Manufacturing Company, Rockwall; and an Advisory Director of Hill & Wilkinson, Richardson; and Hatfield and Company, Rockwall.
