DALLAS W. ANDERSON has served as President, Chief Executive Officer and
as a Director of MicroMed Technology, Inc. since co-founding the company
in 1995. MicroMed received the exclusive license for the DeBakey
Ventricular Assist Device (VAD) from NASA in 1996. Since then, Mr.
Anderson has led MicroMed in successfully bringing the technology to
commercial approval in Europe and to clinical trials in the United
States. From 1991 to 1994, Mr. Anderson served as President and CEO of
Proclosure, Inc., a medical device company involved in laser tissue
(wound closure) fusion. From 1986 to 1990, he was President of Davis &
Geck, a $240 million medical device products division of American
Cyanamid Company. Mr. Anderson has also worked for Baxter Healthcare as
Director of Operations, New Products and with Johnson & Johnson in

TWST: Would you begin by sketching out a few highlights in the historyof MicroMed Technology?
Mr. Anderson: MicroMed Technology was founded in 1995. We founded the
company in order to secure
